Two Evansville-area teens are making their mark in the music world with a new track that rose as high as number 30 on the iTunes hip-hop singles chart.

The song, "On Me" featuring Princeton, Indiana native, Taylor Caniff, and Evansville-born, Trey Schaefer was released to iTunes in mid-January, and according to the City-County Observer, found itself ranked among heavyweights like Drake, Wiz Khalifa, and 2 Chainz recently.

Caniff has made a name for himself on social media, accumulating over two million followers on both Twitter and Vine, and is currently part of the MAGCON tour, an annual collection of Vine celebrities who tour the country hosting meet and greets with fans. "Stitches" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" singer-songwriter, Shawn Mendes was part of the tour a couple of years ago.

Schaefer on the other hand is currently enjoying his senior year at Harrison High School and has been making music since receiving an electric guitar as a gift while in the 4th grade. He hopes to make a career out of his music once he finishes school.
