Angel here and you guys know without a doubt one of my favorites ok my absolute favorite things to do is go to garage sales or thrift shops.  Last weekend I scored BIG!

WHY I LOVE BARGAINS SO MUCH

Growing up in a single-parent home there isn't a whole lot of extra funds for expensive or even extra stuff.  If you know you know.  My momma was amazing at sniffing out a bargain and she always knew the schedule of clearance sales, markdowns, and whatever else in regular stores not to mention the best thrift stores around.  Does this sound familiar LOL.  I learned the value of a dollar shopping with my momma and I also learned it doesn't have to be brand new to be amazing.

THERE'S JOY IN THE SEARCH

I talk with so many people that say I just can't do it.  I can't stand to sort through all that stuff.  OMG!  It's the best part for me because you literally never know what you're going to find.  One thing momma taught me was to familiarize myself with brands whether it be clothing, shoes, purses, or household she told me I needed to know my stuff.  This helps you to know the value of what you find.  It's proven to be super helpful over the years.

SOME OF MY BEST FINDS

I have found a whole lot of good stuff over the years.  Some things wouldn't really be of value to some folks but if you know brands you'd be amazed.  My wedding dress for starters came from Goodwill in Henderson.  It had the Bridal House tags $3,500, I paid $10.  Went to a Goodwill in Bowling Green and scored a new Kate Spade purse for $20 it retailed for $298.  I have found clothing at multiple thrift and consignment shops for next to nothing that still had tags on them.  I recently bought a leather couch and matching chair for $80 at The Common Good Community Story and it retailed for over $2,000.  It was and still is in perfect condition.

BEST DEAL EVER!

Our family schedule has not allowed me to go to many garage sales this summer.  I had all but given up on hitting the motherload of a sale this summer when what did my little eyes spy coming home from working out last Saturday but a big ole sale.  It was as if I wasn't even driving anymore and I find myself parked and walking towards the deals.  I just started grabbing things that were in my size and stylish and even the decor was up to date and fab.  Then I spotted a deer stand.  Now, here's the deal I don't have a flipping clue what's good and what's not I just enjoy bringing my husband home surprises.  Little did I know this was a BIG surprise.  The price said $10 and I knew I wasn't leaving without.  I excitedly called Joe to tell him what I got and he was pumped but at the time I had no idea what I'd bought.  Turns out when we pulled it out of my truck it was a Lone Wolf Sit & Climb Combo which sells for upwards of $400-$600.  YASSS Daddy Momma hit the jackpot!  Needless to say, he was very happy but even more so than I had thought of him.
