Wild Speedboat Accident Caught on Video
What started as a joyride for seven friends, turned into a trip the hospital for five of them.
My wife and I have talked about getting a boat for a little while now. We were bitten by the "boating bug" after spending a couple of weekend's on a friend's pontoon boat, which if the day ever came, is the kind of boat I'd prefer. They're not the fastest thing on the water by any means, but I'm not going out on the Ohio River or some local lake to tear it up and raise hell. I'm going to relax and enjoy the breeze and have a few drinks.
My wife on the other hand is the adrenaline junkie and would prefer we get something with a bit more "oomph" so we can pull a tuber or skier behind us. Maybe this video will change her mind.
While enjoying a day at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, the driver (and I assume owner) of a speedboat decided to show his six friends what his baby could do. While cutting across the lake, that hit a wake left behind by another boater that caused the boat to sway violently tossing all seven around like ragdolls. Pay close attention to the driver who tries to keep things under control before he's thrown across the boat so quickly that he doesn't have time to put his hands up and brace himself for impact before his head smashes against the opposite side of the cabin.
Also notice how no one is wearing a life jacket and a few are even standing up as the boat cruises along at a high rate of speed. While there's no blood, the video is real and may be a bit difficult to watch for some.
Fortunately no one was seriously injured.
