I've heard of people losing their minds, but generally their head doesn't go with it.

Magician Rich Ferguson decided to have some Halloween fun in his hometown of San Luis Obispo, California recently by making it appear as if his head becomes detached from his shoulders.

Reactions from the unsuspecting passersby range from initial scare to adrenaline-fueled laughter after they realize it's all just  fun prank. One other thing I noticed, are the walls of the alley covered in thousands of pieces of used gum?

Apparently a more common form of this prank involves a trick jacket that raises giving the appearance of the head dropping. Although like most magicians, Ferguson won't reveal his secret, he tells Yahoo! News, "This illusion level prank allows your legs and hands to be completely free and you can view it from multiple angles. Sorry to disappoint people, but this is certainly not something you can simply buy or go do."

See what other tricks Rich has up his sleeve along with videos of his various TV appearances on his official YouTube channel.
