As if supporting over 130 local schools, organizations, and charities wasn't enough incentive to visit the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, we have decided to really embrace the foods along Franklin Street. And by embrace, I mean participate in daily Funky Food Games with Ron Rhodes from WEHT on Lifestyles.

Ron started us out with a No Mercy game of Donut Toss Game. Now, a simple donut toss would be way too easy, and not messy enough for live television. What started as ten regular donut balls ended in a sticky, caramel, chocolate, and powdered sugar catastrophe.

Teams and Booths

So, we went against Central Marching Band Boosters Laurie and Erin. I don't think they had any idea what they were in for. The goal of the game is to toss the sticky and gooey donut balls into your team mate's mouth. Turns out, this was more difficult to accomplish because the donut balls were GIANT!

  • Young Life Booth 77
  • Young Life provided the giant Donut Bank donut balls.
  • Booth 37 Mt. Pleasant Church provided the powered sugar.
  • Booth 112 Central High School Music
  • It Takes A Village provided the winning dessert

Wait, what did Liberty do to Bobby?

How far will I go to win? I'm ashamed to say, but you can see the video. There was also a little confession that I have to make about some of the donut balls thrown at Bobby...Including one I made him eat.
