Watch a Firefighter Save a Kitten’s Life in GoPro Camera Commercial [VIDEO]

If you're looking for a reason to cry a few happy tears today, this should do it.

The video below has been making its way around the internet over the past few days and features a Fresno, California firefighter entering a home after he and is fellow fighters extinguish a fire inside. As he makes his way through the smokey home, he stumbles upon a lifeless kitten in the middle of the floor. What happens next will remind you there are still good people in the world.

Being in the media world has made me a little (OK, a lot) cynical and jaded knowing that we can be pretty good at pushing the right emotional buttons, sometimes with the hidden agenda of advertising a product. How many times have we seen a video grip the emotions of everyone who watches it, only to find out some time later that it was all set up by some corporation's advertising agency. It's would be easy to say that's the case here, but it doesn't seem to be.

Whether GoPro gave the firefighter the camera to use on the job, or whether it already belonged to him is unclear, but it doesn't matter, it's stunning footage and the type of video we need more of on the internet.
