This Has Been Named the Most Beautiful Lake in Indiana
Summertime is almost upon us, which means we are nearing lake season in Indiana.
As you know, we have a lot of lakes in Indiana. These lakes scattered all throughout the state provide guests with great opportunities for boating, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and some really beautiful views. Spending a day (or even a weekend) on a lake in Indiana is something that Hoosiers like me long for in those cold, winter months. Something about being on a boat and casting a line out in the water just sounds like my kind of fun.
We have lakes of all shapes and sizes in Indiana. Everyone has their own go-to lake to visit during the summer. But which lake is considered the most beautiful in Indiana? Recently, the website, Insider, listed the most beautiful lake in each state. What they found for Indiana might not be the lake you would expect.
The Most Beautiful Lake in Indiana is...
According to Insider, the most beautiful lake in Indiana is Strahl Lake at Brown County State Park. This area is home to hiking, walking trails, fishing, and bird-watching. The kicker here is that swimming, boats, and kayaks are not allowed on this lake.
While you're somewhat limited in what you can do on this lake, it certainly is beautiful...especially during the fall.
This wouldn't be most people's first choice, I'm sure. Strahl Lake may be considered the most beautiful lake in Indiana, but I think you'd have a hard time considering it the most fun lake. When you think of going to the lake, most would think of boating and swimming. That being said, there are plenty of lakes in Indiana in which you can do those activities, which you can see below.
So, would you consider Shrahl Lake the most beautiful lake in Indiana or is there a better choice? If you're curious as to what lake was named the most beautiful in the other states, you can check those out by clicking here.
