I made a list of my top 3 Christmas movies (and I checked it twice).

Every year, we gather around the TV and watch all the Christmas movies (because ABC Family, now Freeform, makes it so easy). However, with Christmas only a few days away, you are running out of time! Here are the top 3 movies that you need to watch!

3. Elf

Elf, the official selection of every Christmas movie marathon that  will ever exist, is the 2003 classic starring Will Ferrell.   The movie follow Buddy the Elf as he tries to track down his real dad after being raised in Santa's workshop. This movie had the potential to be a disaster but is consistently hilarious. It also gave us lines like "SANTTTAAAAAAAA! I KNOW HIM," and "YOU SIT ON A THRONE OF LIES!" Also, it's nice to see Tyrion Lannister in a kids movie.

2. Die Hard

Yes, I know that there are people who might not consider this a Christmas movie (or that I'm trying to be edgy by selecting it), but the movie takes place AT A CHRISTMAS PARTY! The entire plot is based around John McClane trying to protect his wife from terrorists. The movie also features all the 80's action you could ever want. Sure, you might not be able to watch this with the whole family, but that is a small price to pay to watch Alan Rickman get tossed out of a window.

1. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

The only types of people in this world are those that think this is the greatest Christmas movie or all time and those that are wrong. So many great things happen in this movie. Whether it's Clark Griswold trying to hang Christmas lights without killing himself or Cousin Eddie's unexpected appearance, Christmas Vacation perfectly captures the sentiment of " I don't know what to say, except it's Christmas and we're all in misery." Thank you for existing and writing great movies, John Hughes!
