The Tick – The Weekend Binge

The Tick has seen many interations over the course of his 20+ year history. Most kids from the 90's will at least vaguely remember the hilarious and over-the-top animated series that ran for many seasons. There was also a brilliant live-action series that only ran for 9 episodes back in 2001 that starred Patrick Warburton. This new series stars Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy) taking on the mantle of The Tick.

The series is meant to be a parody of all things super-hero and it accomplishes that for the most part. The series is wickedly funny and doesn't take itself to seriously. The first season consists of 6 half-hour episodes so you can knock the whole thing out in a little over 2 hours. It's a show that is easily binged.

The only issue I had was that it was pretty violent and hearing the f-word in The Tick was jarring. Even with that, the show is still a hilarious super-hero show that is worth checking out!
