The Kids from CMoE’s Day Camp Visited the Station! (PICS)
We had a great time giving the kids a tour!
One of the coolest parts of working in radio is giving tours to different groups in the area. This morning, we got to give a tour to the kids who have been participating in CMoE's day camp. It was a lot of fun. Here are some pics from their visit!
One of their first stops was the 105.3 WJLT studio. They got to learn about the different formats of music WJLT plays and they learned how the sound board works. Also, Bobby hoisted a child like the Stanley Cup.
The kids also got to stop by Leslie Morgan's desk which was a treat for all of the country music loving kids. Leslie really enjoys whenever we have groups come through and is always super friendly.
Leslie was also nice enough to take a second pic because the little boy in the center wasn't in the first pic. If that doesn't melt your heart, I don't know what will.
The kids also got to visit the 106.1 KISS FM studios which was great. Ryan showed them how we edit commercials in Adobe Audition and also let them play with some of the voice sound effects! They really liked hearing our voices high-pitched.
After wrapping up the tour, myself, along with Melissa from WKDQ, went over to CMoE to answer some questions that the kids had. They had some great questions and we really enjoyed hearing what they thought about the tour. They also talked about Minecraft a lot because that's what kids do. I also signed an autograph and got invited to a sleepover at one of the kids homes. I politely declined that invitation.
The kids of CMoE were a lot of fun and they are welcome here anytime!
