Angel here. I have three boys and one man in my house and they all love to wear shorts no matter how bitter cold it is outside. So we did a little research, polled the crowd and asked you all to share your pictures and stories.
This summer has been unlike any summer I can remember. Usually, by August, it's really hot and everything is dead. This year though, the Ohio River Valley is more like the Amazon rainforest. I don't even water my plants! (Ha, like I actually ever watered my plants before...)
So, what's this winter going to be like? Well, I consulted the 2016-2017 Farmer's Almanac.
Despite that fact it seems we've had more days feel like Summer since the calendar officially turned to Autumn in September, a new scientific forecast model suggests we need to enjoy these above-normal temperatures because the bottom is getting ready to drop out as soon as Winter gets here.
This morning, folks across the tristate woke to several inches of snow and closings. And though local road crews are working around the clock to clear roads, we won't have much time to recover.
I'll admit it. I prayed for snow. I wanted a snow day! Don't we all? Now, my fickle self has had enough of the snow. I know the weather isn't up to me but I'd be really okay with warmer temps, flowers, sunshine and balmy weather. However, those lovely things will have to wait. I am sad to say that more winter weather is on its way.
