Outside of cheering on our local professional hockey team, part of the fun of taking in an Evansville Icemen game are the theme nights the team hosts.

Evansville Icemen veteran, and All-Star forward Nathan Moon will return to the team for the 2014-2015 season after signing a new deal the team announced Tuesday.

The Icemen announced earlier today (Thursday, June 5th) that Dwight Mullins will take over the team after the departure of coach Jeff Pyle at the end of the 2013-2014 season.

After a 2013-2014 campaign that saw them fall short of the playoffs, the Evansville Icemen turn their attention to 2014-2015 with the release of this season's full slate of games.

If you or someone you know have had dreams of playing professional hockey, the Evansville Icemen have your chance to reach that dream during their inaugural Free Agent Camp coming up in September.

Barring another nasty cold snap, or unforeseen circumstance, the Icemen and the Walleye will meet inside the Ford Center on Wednesday, January 29th to make up the game postponed on January 7th due to the extremely cold weather.

The decision comes down after much of the Midwest and east coast were hammered by a nasty winter storm.

The boys are back on the ice and under the lights of the Ford Center this Saturday night to kick off the 2013 season against the Kalamazoo Wings.

The boxing gloves are coming off, and the hockey gloves are going on as the men and women of 911 Gives Hope hit the ice to raise money for their worthy cause.

If you like seeing them fight in the ring, wait until you see them on ice!
