Mayor Winnecke's "Energize Evansville" initiative returns this Saturday for a free public workout at the Evansville State Hospital Park beginning at 9 a.m.

Since taking office in 2012, Mayor Lloyd Winnecke has put a strong emphasis on getting the community in better shape through his Energize Evansville campaign and its monthly "Fitness in the Park" events, the next of which takes place at Lloyd Indoor Pool on Saturday, February 21st.

For the first time in its history, Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke's "Fitness in the Park" series of public workouts will feature two separate events for the public to participate in.

Mayor Winnecke's monthly fitness takes a stroll through Garvin Park followed by a lesson in the "downward-facing dog" among other famous yoga poses.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke's Fitness in the Park exercise series continues this Saturday with a free water aerobics class at Lloyd Pool.

Since entering office, Mayor Lloyd Winnecke has made promoting better health and fitness to Evansville residents a top priority for his administration. That promotion continues this Saturday (January 18th) at Swonder Ice Arena during the next installment of the monthly "Fitness in the Park" series.
