Snoop Dogg’s New Album ‘Never Left’ Coming Later This Year
Look out world, Snoop Dogg's got a new album on the way. Yesterday, the "Beautiful" rapper uploaded a video of himself smoking, and in it, he announced that his newest project, titled Never Left, is dropping in May.
"Rick Rock beats nigga," Uncle Snoop says in the video while vibing out to a bouncy track he says is produced by Rick Rock. "The album's called Never Left. It'll be out in May. Yeah nigga."
Rick Rock previously worked with Snoop on albums like Tha Blue Carpet Treatment and Ego Trippin', and from the sound of the Long Beach MC's video, they still make a great team. You can see Snoop's Instagram vid below.
Snoop's announcement comes just a few days after the release of his incendiary video for "Lavender," a remix of a song by BADBADNOTGOOD and Kaytranada. The controversial clip focuses on a parallel clown universe where police brutality (still) runs rampant and a parody of President Trump wants to have all dogs deported. The new visual ends with Snoop firing a fake gun at the Trump clown.
Naturally, President Trump made sure to respond to the video through Twitter, his platform of choice since before last year's presidential election even started. In the tweet, the POTUS wrote, "Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!”
Florida Senator Marco Rubio also denounced Snoop's "Lavender" visual, but Common has no problem with it.
