Question for you!  Oh, and make sure you read this to yourself in the scariest voice you can conjure.  "Do you like scary movies?"

This is going to be a rather odd admission. I remember where and when I saw the very first Scream movie. I was living in San Diego and didn't the opportunity to come back to Kentucky for Christmas. So, I spent most of Christmas Eve at the movies watching a double-header. I don't remember the first movie I saw that day (it may have been The Crucible), but I definitely remember the second. Yes! I watched the original Scream on Christmas Eve.

The first Scream film was released back in 1996.  Since that time, there have been three sequels, the most recent of which was Scream 4 released in 2011.

Now, there's word that Scream 5 is headed to theatres and, good news for franchise purists, Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette have all signed on for the project.

Plus, there's even more news.  A couple of days ago on Twitter, the official release date was announced.

According to IMDB, the movie is currently in pre-production.  Filming was delayed earlier this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, but the studio and cast are gearing up to get to work.  And, while it will come our after Christmas, I guarantee you I will be sitting in the theatre when it hits screens.
