What originally was supposed to be a busy weekend full of youth baseball and hosting the River Run TV special on CBS 44, turned out a little more low key thanks to Mother Nature deciding to rain out my son's baseball tournament. But I still found a few things to keep me busy, taking a few pictures along the way.

The alarm went off at 5:45am Saturday morning because I needed to be at the finish line of this year's River Run by 7:00am to film a few things for the recap show I hosted that aired later that night at 10pm. While we did get caught in a little rain, it held off for the most part while we shot the open, and grabbed a few interviews with the winners. My work here was done by 8:15am, but there was still more to do later in the day...

At 4:45pm, I went down to the CBS 44 building on the corner of Main and Riverside in downtown Evansville to record the voice over for the show. I was joined by a couple of gentlemen from Ultimate Fit who provided insight on the course and the runners' state of mind during various points of the course.

Essentially, we sat and watch footage of the course recorded by another crew earlier in the day, and did play-by-play of what we were seeing. TV magic!

Day two of my son's baseball tournament was rained out which meant we had time to make some dinner (after I went out and bought a new set of golf clubs that afternoon, of course). On the menu, Chicken Parmesan. On my fingers, flour, egg, and panko bread crumbs.

As you can see, all that breading work paid off with a delicious plate of Chicken Parm sitting atop a bed of fettuccine noodles with a garlic-herb butter sauce.

What? You don't jump on a swing after stuffing yourself beyond full of Chicken Parmesan? It's not my first choice either, but when the kids want to go, you go. That arm in the background belongs to my daughter.

So while it turned out to not be as busy of a weekend as I thought, as you can see, I managed to keep myself entertained.
