That's right! 2017 is Owensboro, Kentucky's official Bicentennial! Along with a bicentennial usually comes a celebration and this one is no exception! There will actually be two events taking place simultaneously on Owensboro's immaculate riverfront to celebrate this year's Independence day according to the Visit Owensboro's website.

The All-American Fourth of July Celebration will take place July 4, 2017 @ 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm at McConnell Plaza thru Owensboro's Downtown Riverfront. This includes a 200th celebration birthday party, food vendors, live music, and free cupcakes to the first 1,000 visitors! The birthday party will begin promptly at 6:30 pm while the extravagant end to the evening, the All-American Firework display begins at 9:15pm. Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed, but there will be limited space.

The second event, the 2017 4th Annual 4th Fest Celebration, will take place at the same time between 4 pm and 10:30 pm at the Owensboro Convention Center. There will be FREE Activities in the Exhibit Halls including games and inflatables. Tickets are available for purchase to watch the fireworks from the convention center including a variety of seating options starting with Terrace Seating for $7.50, Pier Seating for $10, All American Seating $35, and Red Hot VIP Tickets for $450 per table. For a list of seating options and access to amenities please check out the Visit Owensboro website or the Owensboro Convention Center page for detailed information.

Whether you choose to do one option or both options, Owensboro's Independence Day and Bicentennial celebration will be one you won't want to miss!
