My Mom Sat Next to Chance The Rapper on her Flight

I'm not jealous. Not even a little bit. Nope. No jealousy here. 

My mom recently decided to check another item off her bucket list. She's currently on vacation with her bestie in Turks and Caicos. Honestly, it's so cute that my mom and her bestie are probably drunk on a beach right now living their best life. Seriously...goals.

Anyway. During her trek to Turks, my mom had a 10-hour layover in Miami. While a 10-hour layover sounds awful, remember she's in Miami so it can't be that bad. According the Snapchat she sent me of her drinking a Corona at 10 a.m., I think she had a good time.

Eventually she made her way back to the Miami airport to board her plane to Turks. It isn't too long of a plane ride, so I wasn't surprised when she FaceTimed me shortly after landing.

Here's how our conversation went:

Me: "Hey, did you have a good flight?"
My mom: "MADDIE."

"Yes?"
"Isn't Chance the Rapper that guy you really like?"
"Yes, mom. I'm a fan of Chance the Rapper."

*Mom gets closer to the phone and attempts to whisper but she doesn't know how to whisper*

"Well he was just sitting behind us during our flight to Turks and Caicos."

YEP. NOW I'M FREAKING OUT.

So, yeah. Chance the Rapper and his family were sitting behind my mom and her friend the entire flight. The best part is that she had no idea who he was until someone told her. And then (how cute is this) she remembered that he was someone I liked and had to call me to let me know.

I'm still in disbelief.

If you're in disbelief, no worries. She managed to take a sneaky picture of him while they were in customs. I made sure to tell her not to be super obvious, but you know how moms are.

So, there you have it. My mom sat in front of Chance the Rapper and had no idea who he was until after they landed.

She told me he had his wife and daughters with them. Apparently the youngest daughter was fussy during the flight and Chance apologized to my mom for it. So yes, they even spoke. I'm spiraling.
