Today was National Walk Out Day, where students from across the country left their classrooms for 17 minutes in order to protest the gun violence that keeps happening at school, specifically the Florida shooting that took place on Valentine's Day. One local school has responded to the walk-outs. Here's what Mt. Vernon High School posted on Facebook:

Good for Mt. Vernon for honoring the students wishes to peacefully protest gun violence. There has been a lot of contention concerning the walk-out's among parents (just read any comments section), but it's cool that Mt. Vernon is supporting the students. Go Wildcats!
