The article goes on to say that concerned neighbors residing near the location where police conducted the welfare check have been searching the wooded areas surrounding the residence in hopes of finding Miya. While they remain optimistic that the authorities will locate Miya safely, they acknowledge the slim chances of such an outcome.

Miya is described as having green eyes and brown hair, and she was last seen under the care of her parents. Kentucky State Police urge anyone with information about the missing child to contact the post at 270.826.3312.
