This last Wednesday (July 11) my mom had surgery on her torn rotator cuff.  If you know anything about shoulder surgery, you know it's not exactly a quick healing process. She can't even move that arm for at least 3 weeks, and is stuck in the really awkward and huge sling/pillow deal.  My mom is not the kind of person that can just sit still either, so being couped up in the house like this is about to make her go stir crazy (and it's only been 2 days since the surgery...) So I decided that since she is going to be stuck mainly in the house the next few weeks, I'd get her some movies to occupy her time.  Here are my top 5 movies that I could watch 50 times and never get sick of!

5) Clerks 2!

No matter how down I'm feeling, I can pop in this movie and laugh my butt off every time! The original Clerks is great too, but for some reason this one just always gets me!

4) Pirates of the Caribbean

Okay let's just start off by saying, Johnny Depp.  He's my all time favorite.  He does such an incredible job playing Captain Jack Sparrow who he based off of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.  For some reason I just love movies about pirates, at one point my room was a pirate theme.  Okay so that's a little embarrassing, but it's not like that anymore. Since I'm only doing my top 5 movies, I can't add the other 3 POTC movies, but rest assured they are ones that I can watch over and over again.

3) Taken

Liam Nieson is in it, and he is an ex-CIA agent whose daughter takes a trip to Europe where she is kidnapped and sold into sex trafficking.  He stops at nothing to find her, and has a no mercy attitude.  It's an awesome action packed thriller, and did I mention Liam Nieson is in it? (Taken 2 comes out this year and I can't wait!)

2) Fight Club

This is a movie that I never honestly thought I'd like. I am not really big into fighting type movies (sorry Rocky) so I never watched it until last semester my film class (Yes they actually have those in college, and yes it was an awesome class) and that night I went out and bought it,I've been in love ever since! Plus, Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter are in it. Also by posting this, I just broke the first rule of Fight Club...

1) The Sandlot

I come from a family of huge baseball fans.  My dad has been a diehard Cubs fan his whole life, and it's rubbed off and my mom, brother and I. My brother has played baseball most of his life, and it's just something I've always been around.  I never played past tee ball because I wasn't coordinated enough for sports.  My brother got the athletic gene, and I got the gift of gab. But this movie is just one of my all time favorites and probably always will be.

So I guess I have a very eclectic taste in movies, but hey, who doesn't?  Since I only made this my top 5 I do have some honorable mentions:The Goonies, Secret Window, Benny and Joon, Beetlejuice, and Detroit Rock CitySo what are some movies YOU can watch 50 times and never get sick of??
