You don't have to drive to the North Pole to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus. They'll be making a stop in Evansville this weekend!

In its thirteenth year, the Annual 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive, brought to you by Henderson Chevrolet Buick GMC and taking place in the Eastside Walmart parking lot, kicks off this Friday, December 3, 2021 beginning at 6 am and will continue around the clock until 6 pm on Sunday night. The goal? To fill a 53-foot trailer with toys to go to children in Evansville-area hospitals.

You might be thinking to yourself, that seems like an impossible task and to some, it might be but for our Tri-state community, it is anything but impossible! You can help us fill the trailer by dropping off your new unwrapped toy donation anytime, day or night between Friday morning and Sunday night. If you don't have time to shop, you can even make a monetary donation and we'll do the shopping for you.

Once you drop off your donation, you can pay a visit to the big man in red, along with his lovely wife. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting from the North Pole and you can take a photo with them and divulge your Christmas wish to them while you are at it!

Both Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the 13th Annual 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive, on Friday, December 3rd from 12 pm to 8 pm, on Saturday, December 4th from 10 am - 8 pm and on Sunday, December 5th from 10 am - 8 pm.

This is a great opportunity to visit Santa and make a difference in the life of a child spending time in a local hospital. If you cannot make it to the Eastside Evansville Walmart, you can also drop off a donation at Henderson Chevrolet Buick GMC, Henderson Walmart, or at the Westside Walmart, where Nellis Lawn Service will be collecting toys for the 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive as well.

The toys collected over the course of the weekend will stay right here in the Tri-state and be donated to the following local hospitals and facilities:

  • Deaconess Hospital
  • Ascension-St. Vincent Hospital
  • Peyton Manning Children's Hospital on the Ascension-St. Vincent campus
  • The Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center
  • ECHO Community Healthcare
  • Both Ronald McDonald House locations in Evansville

This really is the most wonderful and magical time of the year and we hope to see you there!
