Local Moms Answer: How Do You Keep a Toddler from Taking His Diaper Off?
If you've ever parented a small child, you know how difficult it can be. It seems like everything is a challenge and just when you think you've got one thing figured out, a new problem pops up. My daughter is seven, so we are past the potty training and the sleepless nights and the constant eating. But I remember those days vividly. So, when I saw a post in an Evansville moms group, I felt terrible for the mom who had to deal with her son's newest pastime. I also offered up my own advice as well as other veteran moms who have been there.
Without going into too much detail, a local mom posted that her two-year-old son has been taking off his pajamas and diaper. There were a couple times she walked into his room and smelled something horrific. You can guess what he was in there doing... She asked for advice how to stop this behavior.
Without hesitation moms came to the rescue with these tips:
- Put footless zip up pajamas on backwards. If he still gets it open, duct tape the zipper down.
- Put a girls one-piece swimsuit on over the diaper.
- Duct-tape the diaper on.
- Pampers 360 diapers.
I certainly hope this mom found the solution that keeps her son from becoming a nudest every morning!
