A Castle in Kentucky?

Yep, you read that correctly! There is in fact a castle in the state of Kentucky. It looks like a scene out of a fairy tale, or at least like something you'd expect to see in another country.  But in Kentucky, just a short drive from the tri-state there's a real-life castle that you can visit!  The best part is, you can visit it, get married in it, or even stay the night in it! The Kentucky Castle is located in Versailles, Kentucky.

An Enchanting Lavender Festival

The Kentucky Castle has a long history of growing lavender on the property, so to celebrate the lavender, they are hosting a lavender festival.  Personally, I love lavender because not only is it pretty, it smells great, and it's a great flavor to add to anything too! My mother-in-law makes lavender scones that are to die for. So a festival celebrating lavender, and it's being held at a freaking castle?  Count me in!

The Lavender Festival at the Kentucky Castle will take place from June 15th through the 18th.

Celebrating our history of property-grown lavender, this is our fourth annual Lavender Festival where we invite guests to come and see all The Kentucky Castle has to offer both inside the Castle Walls and on our Farm.
While we are re-planting our lavender plants that did not make it through the harsh winter, guests will each receive a sachet of lavender and learn the various ways it can be used in everyday life.
Guests are invited to browse our market vendors, enjoy delicious food from local food trucks, and listen to live music while exploring the Castle and Farm Grounds.
In addition to our market vendors, food trucks, and live music, there will be Farm Enrichment Activities and Workshops Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11 am to 12 pm. Each day is a new topic, so please check the schedule below to ensure you purchase a ticket for the correct day.
Festival Hours: Open 11 am to 6 pm Thursday-Saturday & 11 am to 2 pm Sunday
