A Sweet New Sip Spot Is Coming to Evansville

Who doesn't love a little snack and pick me up drink in the middle of the day? Evansville does it again where they amaze me with a place I have never heard of that is added to the "try list". If you’ve been watching the east side of Evansville, Indiana, you may have noticed some fresh construction activity picking up and now we have the answer to what it's for.

Work has officially started on a new 14,000 square foot strip center along North Green River Road, and it’s bringing in a pretty popular name in the beverage world: Swig.

The new development will house multiple tenants, with Swig taking the left side of the building. It will also feature a large drive-thru, which is a big plus for anyone looking to grab a quick drink on the go. If everything stays on schedule, the new shopping center is expected to open sometime in late summer or early fall of 2026.

So what exactly is Swig?

If you’re like me and thought "I have never heard of Swig before, what is it and where did it come from?" Let me tell you, Swig started back in 2010 in Utah and quickly made a name for itself as the home of the “Original Dirty Soda.” Think customizable sodas, fun flavor combinations, and a menu that goes way beyond just soft drinks.

Along with their signature dirty sodas, Swig also serves up seasonal favorites, refreshers, revivers, pretzel bites, sweet treats, and even hot chocolate. And if you like to mix things up, they’ve got plenty of “create your own” drink options too.

It’s become a bit of a social media favorite in recent years, especially for people who enjoy fun, over-the-top drink combinations.

1620 N Green River Road, Evansville, IN

Once complete, it’ll join a growing retail area on the east side that continues to see new development and new options for shoppers and visitors.
