Discover the Magic of WNIN’s Kids Fest: A Day of Learning and Laughter
Each year, thousands of children and their families eagerly anticipate one of the most engaging and educational events in our community: WNIN's Kids Fest!
This super fun event is one that both the young and young-at-heart look forward to annually. Best of all, it's entirely free! Kids Fest promises a day filled with hands-on activities, special photo opportunities, and a host of delightful surprises. And, as a wonderful bonus, every child attending will leave with a FREE book, courtesy of WNIN and the Rotary Club of Evansville.
What is Kids Fest?
Kids Fest is an event that lights up the hearts of families throughout the region. It's a day where learning and laughter come together in perfect harmony. From educational exhibits to entertaining performances, this event has it all.
Food & Fun
Prepare for a day of delicious delights and entertainment galore. This year's Kids Fest boasts a special guest: Brandon Baggett Comedy Magic Live! Brought to you by The Rotary Club of Evansville, this magical act promises to leave young and old alike spellbound. And, if that's not enough excitement, WNIN is thrilled to welcome back inflatables, courtesy of Legendary Inflatables. When hunger strikes, don't fret – we've got you covered with delectable food options from food trucks like Prime Time Food Truck and Sweet Dreams À La Mode.
Characters
Now, this is one of my favorite parts of Kids Fest. You can meet some of your favorite PBS characters up close and personal! Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat, provided by the Rotary Club of Evansville, will be there to spread joy and laughter. But that's not all – Kids Fest will also host special meet-and-greet sessions with beloved characters like Molly of Denali, Zeke from Work it Out Wombats!, and the iconic Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Films
For those who can't get enough of the silver screen, WNIN has a cinematic treat in store. The film "Andy & Elmer's Apple Dumpling Gang" will grace the stage twice between 10 am and 2 pm. And if that's not enough, stick around after Kids Fest for the heartwarming "The Daniel Tiger Movie: Won't You Be My Neighbor" screening at 2 p.m. They will even provide popcorn and water to enhance your viewing experience. These films, courtesy of the Rotary Club of Evansville, are sure to add an extra layer of fun to an already incredible day.
