Grimace Is Going on Tour and Evansville Made the List
Grimace Is Coming to the Tri-State, and He's Making a Stop in Evansville
If you want to feel some nostalgia, or maybe you have kids who are big fans of Grimace, I have some news for you that you’ll want to add to your calendar.
The purple McDonald’s character is hitting the road as part of the Giddy-Up Grimace Tour; bands aren’t the only people that can go on tour! Grimace is making several stops around the Tri-State.
McDonald’s says the tour is all about celebrating local communities and its beverage lineup. Bobby and I tried the beverage lineup, and they are worth the hype for bringing an iconic McDonald's character on tour.
During each stop, families can grab some McDonald’s, take part in family-friendly activities, and even meet and eat with Grimace. There will also be a spin-to-win game featuring exclusive Giddy-Up Grimace Tour merchandise and giveaways.
And if you’re in the Evansville area, you won’t have to travel far to catch him.
Grimace is scheduled to make his Evansville appearance October 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McDonald’s at 3700 North First Avenue.
There are also stops planned in other communities throughout the area:
- September 28: 149 East Highway 66 in Tell City
- September 30: 450 Highway 231 South in Jasper
- October 1: 1300 West Main Street in Carmi
- October 6: 3700 North First Avenue in Evansville
The Giddy-Up Grimace Tour runs through November 19, with Grimace making appearances at select Greater Tennessee Valley McDonald’s locations.
So, if you’ve got a little one who has always wanted to meet the big purple guy, this could be their chance.
And come on, wouldn’t it be a great conversation starter to say you got to go to McDonald’s and have lunch with Grimace. That’s just fun!
