On 812 Day I love highlighting something like this because it just screams Evansville to me. One of the main pizza joints in the Evansville area hometown Hoosiers awe over is Pizza King. However, there are certain things you expect to see when you pull into a Pizza King parking lot in Evansville.

People picking up dinner? Of course. Cars coming and going? Definitely.

A goat casually wandering around?

Yeah, that one wasn't on the list.

Meet Pizza Queen

In what might be one of the most Evansville stories of the week, a goat was found wandering through the parking lot of the Pizza King along Weinbach Avenue on Sunday.

According to Evansville Animal Care and Control, a family spotted the unexpected visitor and was able to catch her. Instead of leaving her behind, they stayed with her until Animal Control arrived.

And when you find a goat at Pizza King, there's really only one appropriate name.

Pizza Queen.

When Pizza Queen finds her forever home, it's almost like you have to keep the name because of the way she got it, she has a story behind it.

Pizza Queen Is Now Looking for Her Own Kingdom

Pizza Queen is currently being cared for by Evansville Animal Care and Control, but the shelter isn't exactly the ideal place for a goat to call home.

EACC Director Missy Mosby said Pizza Queen is currently staying in a back kennel and they'd love to find her a home where she can have more room to roam. Mosby says farm would be ideal, however if you have a large yard where a farm animal could be a farm animal that could potentially be a good fit, too.

Basically, Pizza Queen has experienced the Pizza King parking lot lifestyle, and now she's ready for an upgrade.

Yes, You Can Actually Adopt Her

Here's where this story gets even better.

Pizza Queen is available for adoption, and her adoption fee is only $20.

Before you start picturing yourself introducing your friends to the goat you adopted from Pizza King, there are a couple of requirements.

Anyone interested in adopting Pizza Queen must live in Vanderburgh County and live in an area where goats are legally permitted.

So, unfortunately, this probably isn't your opportunity to bring a goat home to your apartment and hope your landlord doesn't notice.

We may never know exactly how Pizza Queen ended up strolling through a Pizza King parking lot in the first place, but hopefully that's the strangest chapter of her story.

Now she just needs someone with the space to give her the goat life she deserves.
