Ellie D's Boutique, which currently has a location in Morganfield, Kentucky, just announced that it's expanding to Evansville, and the story behind this small business is pretty impressive.
From $500 and a Dream to Two Storefronts
I always love hearing stories about small businesses that started with an idea and turned into something much bigger. That's exactly what happened with Ellie D's Boutique.
The owner started the business when she was just 15 years old with $500, a dream, and her parents' sunroom.
Now, almost seven years later, that little business has grown enough to open a second location!
After teasing followers with five days of clues, Ellie D's finally revealed that Evansville would be the home of its newest store. Apparently, quite a few people figured it out before the official announcement!
Where Will Ellie D's Boutique Be Located in Evansville?
The new boutique will be located at 6240 E. Virginia Street, Suite F, right next to Lubberdubber's.
If you've never shopped at Ellie D's before, the boutique offers clothing, accessories, gifts, and other fun finds. The owner also says there will be plenty of new things coming to the Evansville location.
The store is expected to open sometime in fall 2026, although an official grand opening date hasn't been announced just yet.

Here's something else worth mentioning. With a second store comes the need for more employees!
Ellie D's is currently looking to grow its team at the new Evansville location. They're searching for friendly, outgoing, hardworking people who enjoy fashion and helping customers.
