Here is Everything You Need to Know About Illuminate Owensboro

I don't think any of us are quite ready for the incredible spectacle that is Illuminate Owensboro. An experience like nothing we have ever seen is taking over downtown this weekend.

Inspired by an event that takes place in Cincinnati called Blink, Illuminate Owensboro brings interactive art installations, music, dance, drone shows, and so much more. It is family-friendly, and thanks to the City of Owensboro and Visit Owensboro, it is FREE!

When is Illuminate Owensboro?

October 3rd-5th, from 6:30-10 PM each night, head down and prepare for your mind to be blown. Here's when the streets will close for setup.

Where is Illuminate Owensboro?

The City of Owensboro has created an interactive map to help you find the light shows, performances, and locate all the vendors and food trucks. You can find that here. This screenshot will give you an idea of the event layout.

Illuminate Owensboro Live Performances

Local dancers will be taking to the streets throughout the evening. Here is a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of Musick Studios rehearsing. Community members are welcome to join in the fun and create the biggest flash mob in Owensboro history!

Local visual artists are involved as well, with glow-in-the-dark murals and shipping container "museums" featuring masterpieces from elementary school Picassos.

The Owensboro Candlelight Symphony and Pianoman exhibit add an element of musical collaboration and encourage a truly immersive experience. We will be down there Friday night and would love to see you!
