Beyoncé rocked the world on Super Bowl Sunday when she unexpectedly dropped two new songs. To nearly everyone's surprise, those songs had some country flair and flavor. Then came the biggest announcement of all- that her brand new album Act II, which is due out March 29th, is going to be a full-fledged country project. The lead off single- "Texas Hold 'Em"- is already on the country charts and is being played on country stations around the U.S.

In fact, Beyoncé became the first black female artist to land a song at #1 on the Billboard Hot Country chart.  She's also the first woman to land a song at #1 simultaneously on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Several men have done that- Justin Beiber, Billy Ray Cyrus, Ray Charles and Morgan Wallen- but Queen Bey is the first female artist to do it.

Fun fact! "Texas Hold 'Em" is also now #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well.

While the Act II lead off single continues to build momentum on country radio, "Texas Hold 'Em" is being played in nightclubs and dance halls around the country as well. As you can imagine, its infectious hook has inspired a series of line dances.  I have been wanting to learn one, so I did a YouTube search a couple of days ago. I found a variety of dances that range in degree of difficulty.

Here's the one that I love the most!

Later this month, I am hosting an event in Henderson called Runway Red. It's a fashion show for Matthew 25 AIDS Services and all the models have chosen their own music to walk to. Naturally, I chose "Texas Hold 'Em."  In addition to walking onto stage, I just may bust out into a full-fledged line dance.

Here's a step-by-step tutorial on how to do the dance the guys above shared.

Thankfully, there are some "Texas Hold 'Em" line dances that are much easier to learn than the one above. This one seems pretty manageable.

So does this one!

Alright! Who's ready to meet me on Broadway in Nashville? If so, park your Lexus and throw your keys up and let's go 'round, 'round, 'round, 'round.
