I grew up playing baseball on the baseball diamonds at the Thruston Elementary School playground.  In fact, I spent much of my childhood on baseball fields around Daviess County at schools like Thruston, Philpot, Highland, Whitesville, Sorgho, Maceo and more.  I loved playing baseball and even enjoyed hanging out and watching other teams when my team wasn't playing. Of course, that means I also spent a lot of time at the concession stands too!  I spent just as much time at the concession stand as I did playing third base.

This week, my morning radio show is broadcasting live on location from DraftKings at Casino Queen. We've teamed up with the casino/resort to celebrate their Stay & Play packages which feature a fun St. Louis Cardinals getaway.  I'm excited to watch the Cardinals take on the San Diego Padres.  It will be the first Major League Baseball game I have attended in over thirty years. As excited as I am to watch some baseball, I am also excited to plan my attack on the MLB concessions.

There mere thought of burgers at the baseball field got me reminiscing about my concession stand time when I was a kid. So, I decided to share some of my favorite concession stand snacks from "back in the day."  Do you remember these?
