54 Pizza Express in Owensboro Testing Pizza by the Slice

If you've ever had pizza in New York City, you know that it's incredibly popular because, at most restaurants, you can buy it by the slice. Now, a popular Owensboro pizza place is getting in on that action. 54 Pizza Express just announced that they're going to be "testing" pepperoni pizza by the slice at one of their two locations in town.

Wednesday, on their Facebook page, 54 Pizza Express shared the exciting news. The restaurant's location on the east side of Owensboro will be selling pizza by the slice daily from 11am to 2pm.

Like in New York City, you can pay for it, grab it and go! Or, you can choose to dine in if you'd like.

To celebrate the launch of pizza by the slice, 54 Pizza Express is offering a variety of ways to enjoy a slice:

1 slice of pepperoni pizza is $4.99

2 slices or pepperoni pizza and a drink $9.99

1 slice of pepperoni pizza, a side salad, and a drink $9.99

54 Pizza Express East is located at 3101 Alvey Park Drive East.

Pizza by the slice, at least for now, will not be available at the west location on Starlite Drive. However, according to comments on the original Facebook thread, 54 Pizza Express hinted that pizza by the slice could eventually make its way to the west side too.

When Paula Clark saw the announcement, she responded, "Yes! Please do this on the west side location." 54 responded, "Thanks, Paula! If the feedback is positive on the East, that’s the goal!"
