There's been something on display in a Rockford yard that I drive past every weekday during my drive to work, and I still haven't figured out what it's supposed to mean.

Peculiar Yard Art Has Been on Display For Months

If you use Highcrest Road as a cut-through from Alpine Road to Spring Creek Road, there's a unique display that you likely didn't even realize was there, but if you did see it you're likely just as confused as I am.

These pictures were taken back in December of last year and from what I can decipher, it's an IV bag that's connected to a green exercise ball shoved into a rolling cart with a sign saying "EARTH."

Connected with a clamp on the other side of the "Earth" is a jump box.

What message is the creator of this art trying to convey?

Could it be saying that the planet Earth is completely dependent on drugs and the pharmaceutical industry with the IV bag connected to it? And the jump box is supposed to represent that our world is connected to a renewable energy source?

I'm likely nowhere close to what the artist actually meant to say when they placed this display at the corner of Chelsea and Highcrest, but hopefully someone knows who this is.

Hopefully we hear from the artist to finally reveal the mystery of the Earth connected to an IV and jump box art in Rockford.
