Indiana Animal Rescue Hosting ‘Junior Volunteer Program’ for Ages 13-15
One Indiana animal rescue is hosting a "Junior Volunteer Program" for children ages 13 to 15 years old where they can make friends, learn about animals, and interact with shelter dogs and cats.
Junior Volunteer Program for Kids 13 - 15 Years Old
Children between the ages of 13 and 15 are invited to join Warrick Humane Society for the Junior Volunteer Program taking place January 19th through March 9th.
The Eight Week Program Meets Every Sunday
Every Sunday from 12 pm - 2 pm, January 19th - March 9th, young animal lovers will have the opportunity to volunteer while learning about the animals and making new friends with like-minded peers.
Affordable Opportunity To Learn the Importance of Volunteer Work
The total cost for all 8 sessions is just $35 at sign up and includes a tee shirt for every kid that participates. Once the program is completed, the Junior Volunteers will each receive a certificate that will allow them to continue volunteering with Warrick Humane Society in the future.
Future Volunteering: After completing this program, Junior Volunteers will receive a certificate that allows them to continue to volunteer with us! To volunteer on your own you have to be at least 16 years old, unless you complete this program, then you are able to volunteer on your own! This is because one of the main focuses of our Junior Volunteer Program is to teach kids how to volunteer with us! /pullquotes]

More About Warrick Humane Society
Located in Newburgh, Indiana, Warrick Humane Society has been saving the lives of animals in the community for 40 years. What started in 1983 with just a few good-hearted people who opened their homes, has grown over the years to provide a no-kill shelter in Warrick County. They opened their doors on their facility in 1997.
Since WHS opened their building in 1997 and began actively working with Animal Control agencies and other rescue organizations, WHS has saved thousands of animals and placed them in loving homes... WHS does not receive any funding from taxes or any national organizations. WHS is funded entirely by individual and corporate donations, bequests, grants and fundraising events. Because all animals adopted by WHS are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and microchipped as well as receiving any other special care they may need, finding enough funding is always a challenge.
Warrick Humane Society is located at 5722 Vann Road in Newburgh, Indiana.
