USI Offering Free Pregnancy Ultrasounds Through December
Getting another opportunity to see your baby before they arrive is pretty exciting, especially when it doesn't cost you anything.
The University of Southern Indiana Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is offering free pregnancy ultrasounds to expectant mothers this fall, while giving students an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience.
Appointments are available to women who are 18 - 34 weeks pregnant.

Free Ultrasounds Available Tuesdays and Thursdays
USI is offering the ultrasounds on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons through December 3 on the university's Evansville campus.
During each appointment, Diagnostic Medical Sonography students will practice obtaining assigned ultrasound images under the direction of experienced faculty members.
These Are Non-Diagnostic Ultrasounds
There's one important distinction to make before scheduling an appointment.
These are non-diagnostic ultrasounds, meaning they're being performed as part of the students' education and are not intended to replace medically necessary prenatal ultrasounds or care from your OB provider.
IN other words, this is an opportunity to help future sonographers practice their skills while potentially getting another peek at that little face, rather than a medical exam intended to diagnose or monitor pregnancy.
How to Schedule a Free Ultrasound at USI
Expectant mothers must be between 18 and 24 weeks pregnant, and appointments are only available Tuesday and Thursday afternoons through December 3.
