The Tristate is again expected to experience severe weather across the region later today and tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

As many across parts of Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois were devastated by Friday night's storms, we find ourselves bracing for more severe weather. While the risk level is not as high as it was leading into Friday's storms, we do need to ensure that we are prepared, as there is still risk for dangerous winds and tornadoes.

Tornadoes Confirmed Across Tristate After Friday Night’s Storms

The National Weather Service has confirmed nearly a dozen tornadoes across the region on Friday, May 16, 2025, including at least one violent EF4 with peak winds of 190 miles per hour near Marion in Southern Illinois. An EF3 struck near Madisonville, Kentucky, and a long-track EF2 near Bloomington, Indiana, traveled more than 35 miles.
