YWCA Evansville Names New CEO to Lead Its Next Chapter

A longtime Evansville organization dedicated to serving women, children, and families has announced the leader who will guide it into its next chapter.

YWCA of Evansville has named Anne McKim as its new Chief Executive Officer. McKim, an Evansville native and longtime community leader.

In announcing McKim's appointment, YWCA Evansville highlighted her extensive experience in nonprofit leadership as well as her longstanding connection to the Evansville community.

Having held leadership roles with the Public Education Foundation, EVSC Foundation, Haynie’s Corner Arts District Association, Mayor’s Public Art Commission, Indiana Arts Commission’s Regional Arts Partnership, and City of Evansville’s Haynie’s Corner Arts District Advisory Board, McKim is a natural fit for the role with YWCA Evansville.

The organization says McKim brings a passion for creating opportunities that allow people to thrive, along with a deep commitment to the community she will serve.

"We are excited for this next chapter and for all that lies ahead under her leadership," YWCA Evansville shared in announcing her appointment on social media.

Continuing More Than 115 Years of Service in Evansville

McKim will take the helm of an organization with a history in Evansville spanning more than a century.

YWCA Evansville has spent more than 115 years serving women, children, and families throughout the region, and McKim will be tasked with building upon that legacy as its newest CEO.

The downtown Evansville organization provides programs and services designed to support and empower members of the community, while operating as part of the larger YWCA mission.

McKim will officially begin her new role on August 31, 2026.
