Matthew 25 Hosting Free Evansville Self-Care Health Fair

Taking a little time to care for yourself doesn't have to mean booking an expensive spa day.

Matthew 25 AIDS Services invites the community to spend a Saturday morning focusing on physical and mental wellness at its free Self-Care Health Fair Carnival.

The event will take place Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at The Helms Hall, located at 5001 Washington Avenue in Evansville.

And yes, the entire event is free and open to the community.

Free Wellness Activities, Mocktails, and Community Resources

The Self-Care Health Fair Carnival will bring together several local organizations and community resources, including River City Pride, Evansville Housing Authority, Gilead, Vanderburgh County Health Department, Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library, Greater Evansville Youth, and Safe Haven Recover Engagement Center.

The event will also offer several opportunities to focus on wellness and maybe try something new.

Sunny Side Studios will lead a South Bath Experience from 10 to 10:30 a.m. on the patio. Anyone interested in participating is encouraged to bring a yoga mat.

At 11 a.m., Studio Hype will take over the patio for a 30-minute hip-hop fitness class.

Guests can also enjoy a mocktail from Nirvana Mobile Bar, while the Mindful Meals food truck will offer matcha, coffee, and fresh-baked goods.

Matthew 25 is still accepting additional organizations interested in participating in the Self-Care Health Fair Carnival.

Free HIV and Hepatitis C Testing Available

Matthew 25 will also provide HIV and Hepatitis C testing during the event.

For nearly 30 years, Matthew 25 has provided health care, education, and support for people at risk for, living with, or impacted by HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.

The nonprofit's work extends beyond testing and treatment. Part of its mission is reducing the stigma surrounding HIV and STIs while helping ensure people have access to compassionate, comprehensive health care and supportive services.
