Experience Indiana’s Norwegian Foot March Challenge at USI
The annual Norwegian Foot March is a thrilling event that takes place on the picturesque campus of the University of Southern Indiana (USI). This challenging event requires participants to carry a 24-pound rucksack as they embark on an 18.6-mile journey through the scenic landscapes of Indiana.
Open to Everyone
Registration for the event operates on a first-come-first-serve basis, making it imperative for interested parties to secure their spot promptly. Whether you're an ROTC cadet, a Soldier, a Veteran, or a civilian, you can register individually or team up with three others to take on the challenge together. The registration process is straightforward and can be completed online by filling out the pre-registration form and submitting your payment on the following screens.
Helping Area Food Banks
One unique aspect of the Norwegian Foot March at USI, located in Evansville, is its commitment to giving back to the community. The weight participants carry in their rucksacks is based on non-perishable food items. Participants are encouraged to pack 24 pounds of non-perishable food items, which will be collected by the Student Veteran's Association during the check-out process. These donations will then be distributed to local food banks, making the event not only a physical challenge but also a charitable endeavor.
