Grab Your Lederhosen! Oktoberfest Is Coming to Downtown Henderson

Break out the lederhosen and start working on those stein-holding muscles because Oktoberfest is coming to the Henderson Riverfront!

Henderson will celebrate the German tradition with an evening of food, beer, live music, and a little friendly competition at Audubon Mill Park on Saturday, September 26.

German Food, Live Music and Local Beer

Oktoberfest festivities will run from 5 p.m. to 11 pm. at Audubon Mill Park in downtown Henderson.

Of course, you can't have an Oktoberfest celebration without German food and plenty of beer.

Henderson Brewing Co. will be pouring beer for guests 21 and older, with a ceremonial keg tapping at 5 p.m. to officially get the evening underway.

There will also be live music throughout the celebration.

Oktoberfest will feature several competitions for anyone who wants to do more than eat, drink, and enjoy music.

Guests can get together in the spirit of the celebration with a costume contest, so this is absolutely your excuse to break out your best German-inspired ensemble you can put together.

There will also be a stein-holding contest, which sounds deceptively simple until you're the person trying to keep a heavy stein held straight out in front of you longer than anyone else.

Henderson Oktoberfest Is Open to All Ages

While beer will certainly be part of the festivities, Henderson's Oktoberfest isn't just for the 21-and-older crowd.

The celebration is open to all ages and free to attend. Guests, of course, must be at least 21 years old to purchase or consume alcohol.

Make plans to head to Audubon Mill Park in Henderson from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, September 26, for an evening of German food, music, contests, and Oktoberfest fun along the Ohio River.
