I'm the type of person who would rather be hot than cold. The cold just hurts. This is the Coldest City in Indiana

Stacker used data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to identify the coldest city in each state. The list is based on 30-year average temperatures and also includes the average daily minimum and maximum temperatures for each ranked city. Stacker says that the cities are ranked relative to the entire national dataset of 266 cities. That being said, let's find out which city is the coldest in Indiana.

It should come as no surprise that the coldest city in Indiana is in the northern part of the state. It's the home of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, South Bend. The city is located close enough to Lake Michigan to catch that chilly lake breeze in the winter. Stacker says that South Bend is the 92nd coldest city in the nation. It has an average annual temperature of 49.7°F, an average daily maximum temperature of 58.7°F, and an average daily minimum temperature of 40.8°F. So if you're visiting South Bend, make sure you bundle up before partaking in any winter activities.
