This year's annual Indiana Comic Con (ICC) will bring people from all walks of life together for a busy weekend full of nothing but geeky fun. My wife and I will be there all three days, and it's an event we've both been eagerly awaiting for months. That said, there is a lot of information you're going to need to know before making your way to downtown Indianapolis. After all, it's a big convention, so having a plan is never a bad idea.

Indiana Comic Con Event Details

ICC kicks off on Friday, March 14, and runs through the following Sunday at the Indiana Convention Center, located at 100 S. Capitol Ave. in downtown Indianapolis. All attendees must register upon arriving at the convention, regardless of ticket type. Kids 10 and younger can enter for free with an adult ticket.

Indiana Comic Con Special Programming

In addition to an abundance of free panel programming, the convention will feature a few other special events you might enjoy. However, be aware that each of these activities will require an additional ticket, which you can learn more about on ICC's ticket purchasing page. Below, you can see a brief list and description of each special programming event.

The Sackhoff Show Live: Sci-Fi's Katee Sackhoff will host a live recording of her podcast, The Sackhoff Show, where she will interview The Office's Rainn Wilson. This one-of-a-kind event will take place on Saturday at the convention center, and pricing varies by seat location.

Nerd HQ Celebrity Breakfast: Attendees can get up close and personal with Star Trek's Sonequa Martin-Green, Bruce Greenwood, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, and Denise Crosby over breakfast on Saturday morning. Hosted by the nonprofit Nerd HQ, ticket proceeds from this celebrity breakfast will go toward providing free therapy for those who cannot afford it. The location details will be sent to ticket purchasers via email.

Dragons, Dice & Divas: For fans of the iconic tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons, this event will feature drag queens starring in a unique, custom tabletop role-playing adventure. Guests must be 17 or older to attend, and a meet-and-greet with the stars will follow the game. This event will take place on Friday at the convention center.

Indiana Comic Con Autographs & Photo Ops

Pricing for celebrity photo ops and autographs will vary by each celebrity guest. Autographs will be signed at varying times on the floor throughout the weekend, but photo ops will work a little differently. Rather than waiting in line, you can purchase your photo ahead of time and schedule your session. Up to four attendees can be featured in one paid photo op, which will be available as both a physical and digital copy. VIP and Ruby passholders will receive $10 off their photo ops.
