Here is How You Can Camp For Free At Indiana State Parks in 2024
If you're planning on doing a lot of camping this year, you can save some money by volunteering for Indiana State Parks.
Camping at Indiana State Parks
While hardcore campers will enjoy camping all year long, for many the camping season runs from Spring through Fall. Spring is right around the corner and many campers are getting ready for the warmer months so they can hit up their favorite campgrounds. With warmer months come busier times at campgrounds, and many Indiana State Parks are looking for campground hosts to help out during the busier camping season.
Indiana State Parks Need Campground Hosts
Indiana State Parks took to Facebook to announce that they are currently searching for campground hosts for the 2024 season. So what is a campground host? Well they are hosts who volunteer at the campground in exchange for free camping. According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, camp hosts must volunteer for a minimum of 20 hours per week and must be able to pass background checks.
According to Indiana State Parks on Facebook, there are several campgrounds in need of hosts during the 2024 camping season including Harmonie State Park here in the Tri-State.
