Where to Find the Best Bowl of Chili in Kentucky
Chili season is upon us, and one restaurant stands out among the rest when it comes to how good their bowls of chili are.
Kentucky has a lot of great restaurants that have been open for years. These restaurants have become staples in that area, and people must go whenever they are in town. They are restaurants that can even become bucket-list places to dine at. Whether it be comfort food, burgers, fried chicken, seafood, Italian, Mexican, steakhouses, or any other type of restaurant, there are certain places that stand out among the rest. As the weather begins to feel more fall-like, many people in Kentucky will want to enjoy a nice hot bowl of chili. Granted, you could easily make a delicious pot of chili at home, but if you are going out to eat, where can you go in the Bluegrass State to get the finest bowl of chili the state has to offer?
The food website, Love Food, recently found the best bowl of chili in each state. They did so based on genuine user reviews, awards and accolades, and the first-hand experience of their team. I have to admit that when it comes to what they selected for Kentucky, it is my absolute favorite way to eat chili.

This Kentucky Restaurant Serves the Best Chili in the State
According to Love Food, the best chili in Kentucky can be found at Check's Cafe in Louisville. The chili itself that they selected is their “Check's Famous Chili," which might cause some debate. That's because it is served over a plate of spaghetti noodles. Yes, I am one of those who believe that noodles in chili is the way to go. However, I know many who just prefer a regular bowl with crackers, but that's so basic!
Here's what Love Food had to say about the best chili in Kentucky:
Describing itself as a 'neighborhood tradition,' Check's Cafe has been serving a solid menu full of American classics for more than 60 years, and the recipe for its famous chili dates right back to 1944. It's rich and meaty, and best served with 'all the fixins' – that's spaghetti, white onions, and plenty of cheese.
Of course, Check's Cafe has so much more to offer than their famous chili. In fact, America's Best Restaurants paid the restaurant a visit to check out some of their delicious menu items.
I don't know about you, but this sounds delicious! The next time I am in Louisville, I will definitely hit this up. Have you been to Check's Cafe before, and do you think it's worthy of being named the best chili in Kentucky?
