Yelp Says Illinois Pizza Joint Has the 3rd Best Pizza in Midwest

Imagine how many thousands of pizza places there are in all of the Midwest. The fact that one Illinois pizza joint was just declared the 3rd best in the entire region is quite a compliment and that's exactly what happened from the reviewers at Yelp.

This brand new list just shared by Yelp names the top 100 pizza places in the Midwest and there are many in Illinois that made their list, but one rose well above the rest.

The bronze pizza medal goes to Pequod’s Pizza in Chicago, Illinois. I could probably list 100 pizza places in Chicago alone so even if this trophy were just for the 3rd best among Windy City pie places, it would still be a big honor. It's no secret that Yelp factors in hundreds of reviews for each place to determine who ends up at the top of their list. Get this. I looked at Pequod's Pizza Yelp page and guess how many reviews they have? 8,260 user reviews as of this writing and the most recent one which was shared on August 9, 2024 by Cara T said "This pizza is 6/5 stars and was my favorite thing I ate on my trip to Chicago!"

If you look at the full Yelp list, there are some impressive pizza places that were honored. It's not entirely unexpected that a Chicago pizza place would be near the top, but number 3 is still a great nod to an awesome restaurant.
