There are three qualifiers for this warning. First, you need to live in Illinois. Second, you must have a craving for chocolate chip cookies. Third, if you have allergies, know that there's suddenly an urgent recall for a line of chocolate chip cookies that are widely available in Illinois due to a potentially life-threatening issue.

The United States Food and Drug Administration just issued this bulletin Friday warning that if you have this brand of cookies, you should stop consuming them immediately if you have milk allergies. They say that Too Good Gourmet of San Lorenzo, California has learned that their Meijer Dunking Cookies Chocolate Chip contain milk which they were not aware of.

The FDA said "the recalled Meijer Dunking Cookies Chocolate Chip were sold at Meijer stores in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, and Wisconsin.

Mayo Clinic emphasizes how serious a milk allergy reaction can be saying that it can bring on a condition known as anaphylaxis which makes it very difficult to breathe and can lead to death.
