It Might be Time for you to Start Thawing your Turkey
If you're feeding a big crowd with a big bird, you might need to start thawing as soon as the Friday before Thanksgiving.
I'm still in the phase of not having to cook Thanksgiving dinner - and I'll stay here as long as I can. Instead, I just show up with a pie or an easy side dish and everything else is already hot and ready. Honestly, it's blissful. BUT for those of you that aren't as lucky and have to do all the hard work, I've got a few pointers for you.
Depending on the size of your bird, you might need to start thawing the turkey as soon as they Friday before Thanksgiving, AKA Friday, November 22.
20-24 lb: move to fridge Friday before Thanksgiving
16-20 lb: move to fridge Saturday before Thanksgiving
12-16 lb: move to fridge Sunday before Thanksgiving
4-12 lb: move to fridge Monday before Thanksgiving
