As someone who had only seen the hit TBS show "Impractical Jokers" a few times, I was wondering how The Tenderloins Comedy Troupe would translate to a live stage show. That lasted for about a minute before I was doubled over with laughter!

I apologize for the blurry pics in advance. My phone didn't agree with the lighting but I took these pics and you are going to look at them!

The Tenderloins consists of real-life friends Q, Sal, Joe, and Murr, who have been performing together since 1999. They have been to Evansville in the past but I wasn't able to make the shows. After seeing the amazing talent on display last night, I regret missing their other shows. The stage show had a great mix of storytelling, pre-recorded sketches, and crowd work. One of the definite highlights of the show was when the group borrowed a girl from the audience's phone and just texted a random person "The test came back positive." How that person responded, and the subsequent back and forth from the guys, led to lots of laughter.

As someone who appreciates all forms of comedy, it was nice to see something outside of traditional stand-up in Evansville. I also enjoyed the refreshing nature of seeing guys who are actually friends getting to live out their dreams on the biggest stage imaginable. Furthermore, props to the people of Evansville for coming out and packing the Old National Events Plaza. It's always nice for out of town performers to not have to perform for an empty venue.

Overall, the night was a lot of fun and I'd definitely recommend going to see the crew when they come back next. Just make sure you don't let them borrow your phone!
