Love the Movie Home Alone? There’s a House in Kentucky Just Like It & It’s For Sale [PHOTOS]
Are you a fan of the movie Home Alone? We've found a house in Kentucky that is the spitting image of the house in the movie and it's for sale. Take A Look!
KEVIN WAS THE STAR BUT THE HOUSE WAS THE REAL MVP
Macauley Caulkin may have been the star of Home Alone but let's get real the house stole the show. There is no way that movie could have been set in any other home and still played out the same. I think every kid secretly dreamed they could live in a home like that after watching the movie. From the size of it to all the stairs and that cool but super creepy upstairs where Kevin was sent to suffer his punishment for the night.
A STRONG RESEMBLANCE
Growing up Griffith Avenue was always the desired location to live in Owensboro. My friends and I would drive down the street and pick the houses we wanted to live in. One of those houses just happened to be at 1024 Griffith Avenue. Quite possibly because it is the largest house on the whole street. I always thought it looked just like the house from Home Alone and wanted to know what it looked like inside. Well, the opportunity has presented itself once again since it was sold in 2020 because it is on the market and ready for a brand-new owner. I wonder if Macauley Caulkin would want to buy it?!
TAKE A LOOK AROUND
The home in Owensboro is actually more beautiful than the one in the movie. Here's how it is described in the listing;
This is your opportunity to own a piece of local history. This magnificent Georgian Manor remained in the same family for almost a century until 2020. Located in the lovely Dogwood Azalea Trail district. Property also includes a partially finished 660 sq. ft. apartment over 6 car detached garage.
The home is now listed for $1,900,000.
Imagine driving up the driveway after a long day of work to this beauty.
The movie house didn't have a gorgeous entrance like this. In fact, the stairway was no way near as beautiful.
I can totally picture having a big ole' Christmas Tree in this room and sitting around listening to Christmas carols and enjoying family time.
Loving the all-white kitchen. It's crisp and clean and allows for lots of people to gather together.
All the bedrooms are totally spacious and that bed looks just like Kevin's parents' bed!
I bet if this pool table would have been in the movie Kevin would have made good use of it.
The backyard is the perfect place to sit back and relax.
